After a break... we are back announcing more Invited Speakers!
The first month of 2017 is finishing, and as promised in the last post, we are coming with more Invited Speakers.
Prof. Stefan Bon was announced as Master Lecturer, but he will also give a talk in the IPCG conference about “Dynamic Supracolloidal Engineered Materials”. He is full professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Warwick and his current research focuses on the design of assembled supracolloidal structures and the synthesis of their colloidal and macromolecular building blocks through combination of polymer chemistry, colloid science, soft matter physics, and chemical engineering.
Coming from the University of Alabama, it is our pleasure to communicate that the second speaker is Prof. Serji Amirkhanian. His research areas of interest include pavement design and evaluation, polymerized binders, recycling materials in infrastructure, rubberized binders and mixtures, green pavements, pavement preservation non-destructive testing of pavements and sustainability issues in pavements. His talk will be entitled “Polymer Modified Asphalt; Non aqueous colloid”.
The third speaker is Prof. Mitch Winnik coming from the University of Toronto. The Winnik group studies a broad spectrum of topics in the general areas of polymer science, self-assembly, and nanochemistry. Precisely, they are currently working in the following topics:
Lanthanide Tags for Mass Cytometry
Radioimmunoconjugate Cancer Therapy
Latex Films from Polymer Nanoparticles
Self-assembly of PFS Block Copolymers
His talk will be about “Lanthanide nanoparticles of the general structure NaLnF4, coated with lipids or with silica, to which antibodies are attached”.
The last speaker is Prof. Patrick Lacroix-Desmazes from the University of Montpellier. he is the head of the team Engineering Macromolecular Architectures (IAM) at the Institute Charles Gerhardt in Montpellier. His research interests are devoted to:
Controlled Radical Polymerizations
Polymerization in dispersed media
Self-Assembly of polymers
Polymers in unconventional media
During this conference he will talk about “Double hydrophilic block copolymers: synthesis, micellar self-assembly and applications”.
